A custom testing procedure designed for a truck chassis mounted with a mobile crane and elevating work platform for use on road and rail.
Structural building modifications of a 150-year old timber building for a new man-lift.
About this Project
A new elevator was required to be installed in an old wood-frame building used by a milling company. The seven floors and the existing roof was structurally reviewed for the elevator opening. The floor is wooden and supported by concrete beams.
Original structural drawings were not available so a site visit was performed to assess the structure, review the concept with client and gather measurements so that design drawings could be prepared.
There were existing openings in the floors that were closed in. These required modifications and additional supports were designed to suit the new elevator. An enclosed opening was required in the roof structure to provide the required clearance above the elevator for maintenance access and to suit TSSA requirements.
An offload platform consisting of eight platforms, each with a load arm and gangway to connect to each railcar, seven walkways connecting the platforms, two fixed ladders and a main access stair.
Collaborative project to study and evaluate the effect of wear, environmental degradation and work environment on fall protection lanyard strength.
